Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you play for?
The Honky Tonk Angels usually play for 2 x 45 minute sets within a 3-hour period.
For some events, a shorter set of around 40 -60 minutes may be preferable (for example at a festival or other public event).
Do you play music between sets?
Yes. We can put on background music before we start playing and during our break, if required to keep the country mood going.
We do ask that you provide your own music system, or a DJ once we have finished our final set.
What is the booking process?
We ask for a non-refundable deposit to hold the date. We also send out a contract at the time of booking via Dropbox Sign.
The remaining fee is then requested to be paid around a week prior to the date of the event.
Can you take requests?
We are happy to learn a first dance song, as long as Debi feels she can do it justice!
If you have a specific song in mind that we don't already sing, please do ask Debi.
Do you provide the PA?
For the smaller line-ups (1-4 musicians), a PA that plays out to approximately 100 or so people can be provided, all within the price.
For larger line-ups or for large audiences, we recommend either hiring in your own set-up or we can provide it at an extra charge.
Please ask for details.
I'm new to booking events - can you help?
Debi has been working in this industry for a long time and has a lot of knowledge. You are not alone. Ask the questions and if she can help to make your event even more special, she will.
Do you need a stage?
We need a flat surface in order to dance on. If you are having your event on grass or uneven surface, we ask for a dance floor or stage area for us to perform on please.
What size stage do you need?
Depending on the line-up, we can fit into different spaces but here is a rundown of our preferred stage size:
Solo or Duo - we can be quite flexible but ideally 4m across for line dancing.
Trio - Again, we can make most spaces work but ideally 5m x 4m
Quartet - 5m x 4m
6 and 7 piece band - 8m x 6m
